Many of these people were not allowed to have flood insurance. More than a million people are still without electricity and the death toll has risen to at least 41 deaths. At least 15 people have died from this storm and it is still serious but we praise God because it could have been much worse. Keep praying for those who are still in the path of the storm.8-28-2011 1:00 AMIrene is now hitting Virginia and is heading up the east coast. Irene has caused ten deaths and has left over 800,000 without power. Please keep praying for those who are still in its path.8-27-2011Hurricane Irene is headed straight towards North Carolina and New York City with heavy winds and severe chances of flooding. We will post information on this page as we get the information on the damage of the storm. IDES is currently working in Joplin and Mississippi to rebuild from earlier tornadoes.
