"As it is, there are many parts, yet one body." - 1 Corinthians 12:20
In honor of National Volunteer Week, April 10th-16th, this week's Monday Devotional is a celebration of our volunteers at IDES.
"Thankful" is a serious understatement of what we feel for our volunteers and supporters. Put simply, IDES would not exist without you. God has so blessed us as an organization with your willingness and generosity.
Paul writes in 1 Corinthians 12 that the body of Christ Jesus is made up of many parts. Nothing could be truer in regards to IDES' role in His Body. We are almost like a body-within-a-body!
Each and every one of our volunteers has uniquely blessed us through their work, their time, their talents, and their generosity. Whether through a specific skill or through sheer man-power, each of you have been a gift from God to us. If you've read anything from IDES recently, you know that we sincerely believe that God is a multiplier and rewarder of blessings like these!
Our Father in Heaven takes those volunteer hours and supporter donations to turn them into objects of hope, into times of provision, and into opportunities to share the Gospel of Jesus with all of those who are suffering in the world.
Here's the truth: Souls are being saved thanks to the way God is using you.
We pray that you know how loved you are by the staff at IDES, and how valuable your volunteering and support is to us. We are in this together. We are a family. We are many uniquely gifted parts of the one and same Body.
To fully communicate our appreciation of you, we made this video titled, "Why We Love Our Volunteers." We hope you like it, and that it reminds you of why you volunteered in the first place!
May God bless you and continue to multiply your blessings to others in need.
You are making an eternal difference.
