UPDATE (October 21, 2022)
IDES continues to provide relief for those in Kentucky in addition to those in Florida. Check out a conversation between one of the families in Kentucky and our disaster site manager:
"Well, I guess you're leaving us to go to Florida and work..",
"No! we are here until your house is done"
We are there for those we are helping until the job is done. It is important to IDES to see the work we start to its finish. We continue to rebuild homes for families in Western Kentucky following the tornadoes that hit last year. We are still accepting volunteers to assist with these relief efforts as well as donations to our Kentucky efforts.

UPDATE (April 6, 2022)
We have amazing volunteers who have given up their time to help with IDES rebuilding efforts in Kentucky! We have been able to complete 30 storage sheds for the families in Kentucky, allowing them to have a place to store their salvaged belongings. One of our partnering churches is also putting up 10 more sheds in a neighboring community. We have been busy with major repairs on our first two different homes. In one of the homes, our volunteers have helped hang and finish drywall, sanding, and will begin painting shortly. This family was living in a mobile home that got completely destroyed. The second home now has a new roof through IDES funding and installation of wiring and windows will begin soon.
